Standard Thai Rubber (STR) Production of block rubbers or Standard Thai Rubber (STR) began in the late 1960s. Growth in exports of STR has accelerated in recent years. In 1995 exports of STR amounted to 316,000 tonnes and this has jumped to 1,018,000 tonnes in 2004. Southland built the biggest STR factory in 1998 with production capacity at 10,000 tons a month and in 2003 acquired another STR factory with production capacity of 6,000 tons a month.
Our factory obtained ISO 9002 certification in 2000. We have purchased several sites and plan to increase the number of modern STR factories in line with market demand in the years ahead.
